Not all books are created equal! To help you choose good books for the children in your life, we keep this list of books our family has read and can vouch for. It's a work in progress — we're always adding more.
Rating. Very good — every child should read it, and ideally own it. Somewhere in between. Acceptable fodder for eager or learning readers; borrow from the library rather than buy.
Reading level. A very approximate suggestion. Life's not a race — and any A-rated book can be enjoyed by readers of all ages.
Series / Author recommended. A "Yes" is your best friend if you have a voracious reader: a beloved series keeps them busy for weeks.
